European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’
European leaders such as the French president accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions targeted individuals that were central to campaigns to introduce laws governing American tech companies.
“For far too long, ideologues in Europe have spearheaded coordinated campaigns to coerce US companies to punish American viewpoints they disagree with,” stated a senior US official online. “The current administration will not stand for such actions of censorship beyond its borders.”
